I believe the scent of flowers can trigger happy memories and transport you in a way nothing else can. This is why I work with seasonal ingredients that could bloom in your backyard garden.
I’m a florist by trade, but creating the sweet-smelling bouquet that takes you back to your wedding day is my calling. I want you to return each year and reflect on the beauty of time, love and life.
They married in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado with their immediate family as guests. I enjoyed creating in this beautiful setting and sourcing flowers that were both sophisticated and sentimental, like McKenzie. I chose a soft, warm velvet ribbon to add contrast to the rugged mountain setting and bring balance to the design.
Lauren married Hayes in Blowing Rock, North Carolina surrounded by lots of family and friends. Lauren’s bouquet is one of my favorites and her flower girl - adorable. Her reception was lovely. I loved seeing the sketches in my notebook come to life!
You can find Philosophy Flowers on newsstands in the current issue of Southern Weddings. Look for Lisa and Dave on pages 186-194. Lisa writes, “After carrying my dream spring bouquet all day, the scent of peonies now takes me right back to my wedding.”
Martha Stewart Weddings has the full story on McKenzie and Brandon (including this gorgeous, richly colored rehearsal dinner)
Style Me Pretty is featuring three of our couples this year. You can find Lauren & Hayes’ full story and more inspiration from Lindsay & Corey and Sarah & Ben.
